So basically I heard this version first. Then the original... Switched back and figured this would work better ;)
Christine is reflecting on her memories with her angel before the Masquerade. And how much she desires to be with him. How she chose her choice's, though as she begs for him, leaves her lonely.
Past/Reflected Memories~The brightness is turned up almost with an afterglow affect.
Present~Just normal affects minues the fading in/out.
